This is a nice Park with plenty of things to do. There are a variety of Hiking Trails with varying length & terrain. We did a couple of easy hikes including the Lake Hike & the spur off on the Lake Hike on the Chestnut Trail. The Chestnut Trail takes you past Small Chestnut Trees that continue to sprout, but... Oconee state park is one of my favorite places to visit, all year round. In the summer, you're able to rent paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks. You're also able to play mini golf. In the winter, they still offer the canoes. There are multiple hiking trails that are accessible from the park, and they're all well marked. Very family friendly... More

We stopped here for two nights and rode Moonshiners 28! It was a great ride. The park doesn't answer their phone. We were arriving late and couldn't reach anyone all day. The site online was described as level and a pull through. It was neither. Please beware when booking. Their electrical system needs updating. Other then that, the stay was... More

We visited this park to hike to Hidden Falls. Wasn't a crazy long hike but I would rank it as a moderate difficulty trail. The waterfall itself wasn't that impressive, but it's always nice to check out a new fall.

We camped at site 18 in an RV. This was a great site! We were on the lake with lots of trees, and a ton of room. Only had a neighbor on one side of us so lots of privacy. The whole campground was very nice and clean. I would steer away from the paved loop however, those spaces are... More

Stayed for 3 nights, 4 days with the family. We booked site number 82, it was small for our family of 5 +4 dogs, but others were larger/nicer in size. Very rocky for the tent beds so may need to be prepared if not on an air mattress. Fire-pit was right at the edge on most of the sites backing... More

Not much to do in the fall. Hike a few minutes and left. Unless you are a camper, this is a pass. Very small park. We kept looking for the rest of it.

We stayed for a week in cabin 14. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. More family members had cabin 16, and it was nice, but darker wood and no microwave cart in theirs. Things I brought that were helpful: oven mitts, tailgate tent for over the picnic table, heavy duty aluminum foil, pizza cutter (use to cut... More

Just returned from a long weekend at Oconee State Park with my husband, 14 year old son, and 12 year old daughter. We had so much fun! We stayed in cabin 3 by the lake. The cabin was rustic but totally comfortable with ac, fridge, stove/oven, shower, etc. We spent much of our cabin time on the screened-in porch rocking... More

My wife and I stayed here for a long 4 day weekend. We rented a cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything in it we needed. We had a great time. The park staff was helpful and kind. We almost cried when we had to leave to go back home.
