So, not having bathrooms open after sunset or even during sunset is the most ridiculous and stupidest thing I have ever heard of. You sell fishing passes to be able to fish through 10 PM, but there’s nowhere to use the restroom in November past 5PM ish-sunset after daylight savings. The hotels that are nearby have locks that are coded on their bathroom doors where they don’t welcome people who are not staying there to use the restroom. The closest public restroom would have to be a restaurant about half a mile to a mile away. This pier is long and when you have to use the restroom and you run down the pier, good luck. Stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of in my life not having a restroom on a pier that you let people fish at until 10 PM. No restroom after 5 PM; five hours and you expect me not to need the restroom, dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. Get it together and meet the needs of your visitors!

There wasn't much going on when we were there at around 4 PM. We walked from our hotel which was perhaps a 1/3 mile away, noting the beware of alligator warning. We didn't walk around the whole park but it looked very pleasant. There isn't much to do there unless an event is going on. It is a nice place to take children since it has a playground. There is a snack shop which also takes care of some fishing supplies and a fishing license. It was a pleasant, quiet walk. Perhaps at another time of day or week, it would be more lively.

We have visited this pier 4 different occasions during the past 2 years. The park is nice. The pier is nice to take a walk. However, forget catching fish. Until I'm shown otherwise, there is no fish to catch. We talked with others fishing. Their stories matched our experiences. We met no one who actually caught one fish. We did chat with one couple that complained of crabs eating their bait. I also didn't care for the roaches all over the pier late at night while fishing. We personally will not return. However, great for walks.

Stopped by to kill time before going to lunch. The playground is super cute. It’s sort of in the shape of the USS YORKTOWN. It has bathrooms, Cafe and a gift shop. Beautiful view of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. Definitely would love to come back and go fishing with the kids.

Came here one evening after dinner out and really enjoyed the stroll. It is a great view with a nice steady breeze. It’s a newer pier with a small gift shop and counter service ice cream and sandwich shop. Neat to see the guys fishing from the pier as well.

I had a whiff of rotten egg smell here. There are plastics everywhere. I did not like this filthy place at all.

Inside the waterfront park, you can walk the incredibly long pier to be over the Shim Creek. The waterfront views are beautiful.

A great place for a walk into Charleston Harbor, almost under the Arthur Ravenal Jr. Bridge. Go fishing if you like. Rent gear right at the pier. No fishing license required; just pay a small fee to fish. SURPRISE! There's a "snack shop" called the River Watch Cafe and Gift Shop at the entrance to the pier, where you can get your choice of several delicious sandwiches, or a fresh-made, real, delicious, milk shake! A sandwich and shake from the pier's snack shop is a real, satisfying, lunch.

We walked out to te end of the pier, which is located in a lovely riverfront park. We saw runners, fisherman, and other tourists. If timed right, you can watch the huge container ships sail in and out of Charleston.
