Jesse was fantastic. Professional and knowledgeable. Knew where to go and was so attentive to anything and everything we wanted to do. Caught very big Red Drum that we fought with over 15 minutes each to bring into the boat. Then off into the inlets and caught multiple flounder "keepers" one almost 5 pounds. Was great eating! A wonderful time!! We would recommend Jesse and Shallow Minded Charter to anyone looking for an enjoyable fishing experience. Thank you Jesse!!

Had a great time fishing with Jesse. He knew where to go to get the fish. Got into a load of Black Drum. Only kept what we were eating.

We had a great trip! Jessey is a true professional who knows how to find the fish. Me and myb two sons had steady action and caught a variety of fish. A fabulous time!!

By far, the best Inshore Guided trip I have ever been on! Will do again. Not limit of 18-20” flounder with bonus Black drum and Slot and over slot Red a fish! Jesse made sure we had a great time. Will book again.

Cpt. Ray Ray took us out on Sunday. We kept him busy with two adults, a "seasoned" four year old and an 11 year old first timer. Luckily he kept us busy as well. After a short stop to net fresh bait, we went and got the little ones busy catching pinfish with frozen shrimp while the adults settled in to try for bigger fish (drum).
We bounced to a few spots until we found a hole with some bigger fish as well as some smaller ones to keep the kids busy and happy. The kids scored pompano, spadefish, ribbonfish, toadfish, and a small atlantic sharpnose shark. We also got some decent bonnethead shark and a large-ish stingray. It was a productive and fun four hours, and Ray Ray was very accommodating and patient when the kids needed help getting hooks out of fish, getting new bait on the hooks, or getting lines untangled.

I have been on several fishing charters but this was the best one yet! We had to rent 2 boats since we had 6 people in our group (3 adults, 14yesr old, 5 year old) but it was totally worth it. On my boat we had captain Darein who was great! He was very determined to get us to one spot to catch black drum and reds. He interacted with us and was very helpful. The other boat bragged about their guide as well and they caught sharks. I highly recommend shallow minded fishing charters!!

While I appreciate the work Joe and Chris did to put fish on my line successfully today, I did not expect to spend half the trip catching bait and waiting for the shrimp monger to sell us yesterday’s catch. WTF, guys? It wasn’t as though you weren’t going to need bait for the next clients today. And we never focused on getting after Reds, which was my primary target.

Family of 4 with 2 teens who very much enjoyed the morning, once they woke up. Both caught trout, which we made fish tacos out of. Captain D worked really hard to find us spots, baiting the hooks a d casting for my daughter when she needed a little extra help. Communication was great, from booking to confirmation, to texts letting them know we’d be a few late. We’d go again in a heartbeat, and look forward to our next trip!

Had a booked trip multiple months in advance. Spoke with this gentleman (Mike Wallace) many times over the week before vacation, and also during the week of vacation, to make sure everything was still set in stone. He ensured us it was, but it was not. We were told to meet him at 6:15am. Woke up at 5am, traveled almost 30 minutes, and showed up, and this joker stood us up. He didn’t have the guts to call us and tell us he couldn’t do it. He contacted the owner of Chasin’ Tales to tell them to tell us that he “accidentally” booked us when his wife was having “problems,” and that he was actually unavailable. We talked to him last night on the phone and he confirmed we were good. Came in this morning and realized he screwed us over. So now we have to book a new charter, wake up again at 5am, and drive another 30 minutes to “hopefully” get a fishing charter finally. If you want to be stood up by Mike Wallace/shallow minded charters and want to waste a 1/4 of your day trying to understand the situation, then book shallow minded charters with Mike Wallace. If you want a fishing trip set in stone, with a good fisherman, go to/call Chasin’ Tales and they will get you set. Don’t like writing bad reviews but this guy doesn’t deserve business. Take my word for it or find out yourself. Thanks a lot SHALLOW MINDED charters, you rock
