They have public parking at Kiawah beach and you should plan on arriving at 9am if you plan to make it an all day event. Bring a canopy or umbrella, a cooler with lunch and of course sun block.

Kiawah is great just the way it is, which is to say...that it has what it needs and doesn't need anything else. It's quietly-paced, with lots of people walking or riding bikes...even the cars are slower-paced. A great island to unwind and stroll the beach,...More

We stayed in the Fresh Field Village area. Bikes for rent $15/day. Easy to bike around the area and to the beach. Beautiful homes, vegetation, bike paths, the beach...what else can you ask for?

Beautiful ocean get away. Quiet and peaceful. The morning beach walks were perfect. The Inlet Cove location was the central to enjoying the ocean as well as local attractions such as the Angel Oak, Magnolia Plantation and Charleston.

We had a joyous time...55 years to 94 year olds!! The villas and private residences are fabulous. All of the amenities, services and conveniences of a resort. Beware of critters though...they like the beauty of the island too. Very close to Charleston and The Sanctuary...quaint...More

The visit to Kiawah at The Sanctuary and time spent on the beach was great. The beach was not crowded at all. Had a great day there.

Parents taking 25th anniversary trip here, they never had a honeymoon either so this will be sort of their honeymoon as well. Staying at the sanctuary, would like to surprise them somehow but not familiar with area. Any ideas??

The Santuary is simply beautiful. The lobby is elegant. I think they'll be thrilled. The lobby patio opens to a lush green lawn that spills down to the beach. Maybe arrange for Sunday brunch at Jasmine Porch. I hope... More

We are considering going in the last week of March. We usually go to Seabrook Island and love it. But this year my son isn't going and my daughter would be by herself with us, her parents. We thought the activities on Kiawah maybe good for her to make friends and have fun. When do kids activities begin on the Island? In past years, on Seabrook activites don't start until Easter. Easter is late this year, so wondering if it offer activities earlier?

Check directly with Kiawah - it often depends on the number of children in that age group at that juncture. IMOHO&E, they're NOT too reliable with delivering the SERVICES they promise, and their maintenance is lacking (pool... More
Hello, I'm looking forward to our stay on Kiawah island. My husband is rehabbing a bad knee and two things are best; heated pool for aqua jogging or any bicycling. Are there any pools(heated) or bicycle rental shops? Thanks in advance for your help in this important matter. Sincerely, Terry Ann

There are a number of shops renting bicycles on the Sanctuary so I am sure you will get one. There are indoor pool in fitness club which may be heated but I am not sure.
