Great place to park for the beach

Great place to park if you want to walk on the beach. There are bathrooms and changing rooms. The little store has the standard items you might need while on the beach.

Had an enjoyable time. Wasn't crowded and had nice changing facilities. Beach was clean. Dog friendly. Lots of families.

Laid back, clean, easy to get to, playgrounds, lots of beach space! Dogs are welcome, though I don't remember what the regulations are.

Many public beach access so parks are lacking something that's needed for day trips to a beach. Isle of Palms has everything, from rest rooms, showers, changing rooms - chair and umbrella rentals available. That is all I'm looking for, so my new favorite beach in Charleston area is Isle of Palms County Park.

Drove from Charleston. Very clean beach, parking lot convenient. Clean bathrooms and separate changing facilities. Fine sand. You can rent chairs and umbrellas if needed. There were no lifeguards though I don't know if they are there during the Summer.

I visited the beach after a race. I found the beach to be clean and the sand was soft. There is a long pier once you get into the island but did not see a restaurant or other activities on the pier. There are several area to park for free on the island but make sure that it's a legitimate... More

This was the perfect spot for a beach day. It was a lovely blending of Natural beach and Touristy accommodations. There is decent parking, but in the high season, I would arrive early or late to find a spot. Parking is paid, either a set price in the lot at the park, or by the hour at the parking next... More

The Isle of Palms by far has the best public access to the beach. Plenty of parking, nice change cabanas and a nice building with rest rooms. Frequent this often for day trips from the inland.

This is the go to place if you are visiting the Isle of Palms beach . There is ample paid parking , showers and bathrooms and small concessions in the summer along with life guards. There is also a playground and a pier. We visit every week to walk on the beach and notice the staff works very hard to... More

We walked on the beach and saw this small park. It was nice to have foot shower/ and full showers and saw changing rooms and restroom. Picnic tables and parking area. The only negative was it closes at 5pm. I think it would be nice to extend the time in summer with daylight savings!
