On this part of the coast the sand is firm and the beach is very broad at low tide. great for walking, watching and listening to nature. Because the island is surrounded by salt marsh and rivers the water is stained, rather than clear blue/green...More

The lovely beach is quiet during the fall. The ocean winds and are cooling on the hot sunny days. It is a bit of a walk to the beach and parking in not free.

Very nice beach to visit for a day, not over crowded. We had plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the sun, sea and sky! We found so many sand dollars, and took pictures and released. Amazing!
