What a lovely beach – very wide with nice firm sand. Perfect for walking and biking. During the winter, dogs are allowed on the beach, either on leash or free to play while under “control” of their humans. The beach is long, with a few...More

A bit off the beaten track, but a great place to spend a beach day. There's a long boardwalk through the trees that opens up to a beautiful spacious beach. There are restrooms and showers, and plenty of room to get comfortable. Love the large...More

Folly is a beautiful beach. There are a lot of dolphins to see, shells to find, and wave to watch. It is a great place to destress and enjoy.

Close to private beach as you can get for a public beach. Good parking but it can fill fast! Perfect alternative if you don't want the crowd of Hilton Head.

there is nothing special about Folly field Beach except that it is publicly accessible. Once accessed, there are miles of beach you can walk on.

I was here very off season (super cold!) but so pleased that the bathrooms are still available AND the outside showers/hoses to clean off the foot sand (the sand is a lovely fine grain) work! Parking is $1/hour paid with credit, coin or bills. Totally...More

We were off season - just a few people around - cold wind - roar of big water - nice roll out walkway to get close.

A wide clean beach with plenty of room on white sugar sand. This is a great beach to visit with family or for solitude

Hi Pam, Sorry but there is no horse back riding on Folly Field beach. As Kevin F mentioned there is a stables called Lawtons in Sea Pines (843- 671-2586) and that is a really beautiful facility.
