There are miles of trails and boardwalks as well as beautiful azaleas and camellias in this old, quite established and renowned park. Come when they are in bloom for a spectacular show! Or, just come to walk the boardwalks and experience Black Creek, which lives up to its name. Beautiful and quite serene.

We visited Hartsville for a wedding. First I have to say that Hartsville is a wonderful little town to visit. The Wedding was on the porch of the Hart house at the gardens and the reception was on the ground of the garden. What a wonderful place to have your wedding. The ground and house are beautiful. Relaxing and exactly... More

Black eyed Susan's and a few other plants still in bloom in late Oct. Many different trees, creek, birds, an interpretive walk and a nice rolling walk.

If you are in town, this is a very nice place to stop and take a relaxing stroll. You can walk as far or not as you want to. The grounds are very well maintained and the price is right--it is free! I will return on my next visit to explore more of this place. There is plenty of parking... More

A fantastic journey that takes you away from the outside world and puts you into God's natural world of flora and fauna. There are many paths and trails to walk and see and smell the beauty that God created. There is something to enjoy in Kalmia Gardens for young and old. If you like God's natural world this is the... This is a place that you go to and enjoy nature. Always a pretty site to see. Make sure you are ready for all the steps though , but if you leave your water at home there is a natural spring you can get water from!

Coker College does a fantastic job of running Kalmia Gardens. Beautiful in the Spring! Azaleas everywhere and a great trail system that will lead you through the forest and down along Black Creek. Elevated walkways take you past the centuries old Cypress trees. You need to be in pretty good shape to really take advantages of the trails. They are... More
