The first time I went to the RMSC, it was too hot and I didn't know you could go inside for exhibits and crafts. It was a Second Saturday event in the middle of the summer. I decided to try again for another Second Saturday event and my views completely changed. This place is truly a gem of Greenville. I've... More

Second Experience: We attended the Fall Harvest Festival. There was so much to do and not enough time to do it in. I suggest picking what is important... More

I've taken my granddaughters here twice, and they really enjoyed themselves. The first time was a home-school day. Oh my! They had so much fun petting stingrays, making balloon butterflies, panning for gems, digging through dirt trays containing fossils, and much more. There's a hands-on focus, and there were plenty of guides to explain interesting details. The girls really loved... More

Recently went for Butterfly Adventure with Grands but have gone many times over the years and never disappointed. The Butterfly exhibit was a little smaller than I thought it would be and there were only a few varieties of butterflies, unlike the advertising mentioned as well as the pamphlet we were given to identify the different species. We went early... More

Both my 12-year & 10-year olds said it was boring. One good part was the dome, but my 10-year old didn't get to go.

Nice place with good amount of exhibits providing knowledge to kids as well as elderly people. They need to add more species of butterflies though as there were only two types of butterfiles in butterfly adventure.

We are glad you came to our Butterfly Adventure and appreciate your comments. You observed correctly that two of the species fly lower, are easier to spot, and interact more with people. Also, on any given day, there are 8 - 10 additional species which tend to fly higher and seem to hide among the foliage, thus making spotting them... More
