Although the web confirmed the museum would be open this last Saturday, it was closed.A real pity considering the good reviews I read before. I was really excited to visit the museum.

Nice displays of Civil War artifacts and nice docets. No cost to go in. Also has a library if you want to do research. Near downtown Greenville which is a great place to visit. Check the hours as they are not open all day everyday....More

This is a wonderful little museum, packed full of local history. Their collections of arms and photos is amazing. The gentlemen hosting were very knowledgeable and all sides of the conflict were represented. If you have a couple of hours to spare, this is a...More

We stopped by the Museum with some out-of-town friends and had the good fortune to get a tour from Coach Rossi. There's a wealth of artifacts, but it's the stories and primary source material that lights up the lives of people in that time, cuts...More

Don't let the size of this museum fool you, it has a lot of history stored in this downtown Greenville house. I was especially surprised by the number of books in their library. If you'd like to do some research on the War Between the...More

The reviews preceding mine say it all. My husband could have spent several hours here. For those less interested in subject matter, suggest getting dropped off to stroll the lovely main street downtown.
