Great tour guide! Very informative tour. Someone lives in the home and kitchen has been updated. But still good information. Not much furniture of the 1800s era there but lots of paintings showing home residents.

What a beautiful day to tour an old working Rice Plantation from Colonial Times!!! The setting was breathtaking from the front porch of the old home. I was so surprised to realize that the house was open despite the live in family on the premises. The antiques were exquisite and the interior of the house was so impressive from the... More

On par with Monticello and MtVernon tours. Our guide, Honoria, painted a dynamic 3D visual picture of the Lynch Family history and life on a rice plantation before the War of Northern Aggression. OakGrove tea room was full of good food and charm....be sure to make a reservation.

I visited Hopsewee Plantation and Tea Room with my friend Laura on our way to Charleston. It was lovely. First stop was the tea room where we enjoyed some Gin gin soup (a family recipe) and a warm chicken salad sandwich on sourdough toast...both delicious. The Lady London iced tea was refreshing and the lemonade was too. Then onto the... More

I really enjoyed the southern tea. The service was wonderful. We also took the tour and it was very interesting. Thanks to the owners for opening up the property for all of us to enjoy!
