Great place for kids; Better place for adults

We went to get local honey, because you know it's good for allergies. Took the kids to do the petting zoo. Oh my gosh! What an amazing thing they have there!

I was recently in the area sighting seeing and visiting Givhans Ferry State Park when I passed the sign for Bee City. After my visit to the State Park, I decided to stop and check-out Bee City. My thoughts as I was driving down the dirt road was that I would learn about Bees and the process of getting the... More

This is an interactive "zoo" due to the many animals eating treats and food sold in the store for guestd to to feed them. Its in an isolated area north of Charleston. Various types of monkeys, also rabbits, turtles, ostriches, and many more animals. The kids enjoy it. I noticed one of the monkeys repeatedly getting its paw pinched in... More

My husband happened by the Bee City signs this week on way to work and goggled it to find it was a petting zoo. Our 8 year old is an animal fanatic. She had so much fun touching and feeding the animals. $7 pp entrance and $5 for food was absolute bargain.

It's great family entertainment. My grandchildren love it and ask to go back. There is no other place like it that I know of within the coastal area. When I took my Savannah grand daughter, she loved all the animals but especially the monkeys. She had a ball feeding them and asked if we could go back. Can't find a... More

My mother and I brought my 3, 7, and 8 yr old children here. It was decently priced for what they had. My kids had a great time petting and seeing all the animals. I would think that a teenager or young adult would be a little bored. We were there for about 4 hours just taking our time and... More

Enjoyed the animals. From monkeys to lamas and even a bird enclosure to let the kids get a feel of the birds on them. Enjoyed the reptile house. Two hour of fun, and even a walking path to various animal enclosures. Well worth the small fee to get in.

In the past few years, we have made approximately five trips to Bee City with various grandchildren, a neighbor child, and our great-nephew, as well as adults. Although I agree that they could make it more spacious with the land they have, I also understand the economics of running a family business. Recent years have seen a great new aviary... More

This place is fantastic! I would definitely go there again. Went with the grandchildren and we had a blast. You can feed the animals. The birds will fly right into your hand, or on your head! Watch out for the feisty llama's, they spit! We had a lot of laughs and great interaction with so many different animals. The area... More

Bee city could be a lot bigger, but for the money and the experience it was worth it. I didn't see a lot of bees though... not sure if they changed anything or they are located somewhere else within the business grounds. Lots of other animals that the kids were able to feed and interact with. I will be going... More
