A walk in the park

Nice, safe and clean place to walk in the woods. Easy walk and great place to walk your dog. Kudos to the city of Columbia for having this great park so close

I came here after reading positive reviews from my friends on it. First, paying what we did to get in was a bit steep ($5/person and $3/kid.) We paid and entered, parked and walked over to the store the have. It's very small but I wanted to collect my stamp for the SC parks program going on. We did the... More

This is a lovely park with a restful lake, playgrounds, trails and picnic area. It is unfortunate that is cost $5 per person. Repeated visits add up! I am of the opinion that parks should be by and large free for state residents. If you must charge, it should be nominal.

Just experienced my fifth visit to this majestic grave site. The gazebos where the last rites are held is covered, close to where you park the car and usually plenty of seating for family & friends.

This is a park we have visited for years. A place a where there can be family fun. Through the years it has changed in some ways. Now there is a charge to go there. Recently there was an increase of the amount they charge.

We camped in the late winter after they area had experienced a 1000 year flood the previous fall, so a lot of the issues were due to the continuing clean up. The trails were nice around the lake and there were obvious signs of active clean up/ reconstruction all over the park. The site #48 was fairly level and with... More

Sesquicentennial state Park is a close by go-to for a long weekend for us. It's always seems clean and the rates are perfect. There's much we like to do in the Columbia area and great places to eat. Our only issue with the park is that we drive a motorhome and the roads through the campground seem a bit narrow... More

I'm glad we only made a one night reservation here on a long trip. Driving along the main road into the camping area was fine. As soon as we turned off paved roads, the camping area was quite a bumpy ride. The driveway around the campsites is narrow. We are not fans of real rustic campgrounds, like this is, nor... More

The trails are very nice and the pond is a nice place to kayak. Sometimes it gets overwhelmed by school visits but even then you can hike out a bit and get some peace and quiet. Cheap price for seniors.
