Took a ride to this park to walk our doggy. After paying the $5 entrance fee we parked at the canoe launch site and walked the green trail along the Saluda River. We took the paved option as there is poison ivy in the area. The trail is 2.25 miles long and has great views of the river. We can't... More

We came to do trails. We couldn't necessarily follow the map but we ended up Geocaching instead. The park was idyllic. A lovely day out.

Had to go there because the kid's private school held a test there in the meeting halls. Hung around, had a picnic and even went fishing. Explored, talked to people walking their dogs. Was pretty nice. Water park for the kiddies. Get food from restaurants on the way in or out.

Beautiful park. Attended a work outing there in the summer. Rented bikes with friends and rode on the trails by the river in the fall. Visited again in December for the Christmas lights. Lots to offer in any season.

Being from the area I have always enjoyed coming to this park. My most recent visit was with my teenage daughter for a nice spring bike ride. The park has plenty of paved paths that take you through the wooded areas next to the Saluda River. The ride is not difficult as we saw many families with younger riders. The... More

South Carolina does not have a of sidewalks, or really anywhere to exercise outdoors. Saluda Shoals is right on the side of the Saluda River. It is a 3 mile paved walking path that's great for an out and back run! Theres also small walking trails that fork off of the main trail. In the summer there is a splash... More

The view was breath taking. This resturant has two locations. We had dinner at the one on the lake. It was amazing. We had a good waitress who recited the specials from memory. She was attentive to our needs without us asking. The frozen drinks and entrees she recommended were great. Seeing the sunset from the wrap around patio was... More

Lot's of fun seasonal activities, a nice slice of river and an attractive park with walking trails makes Saluda Shoals a great destination. I can also recommend the River Center there for receptions, meetings or retreats. It could comfortably accommodate 150-200 or so people, it's fully accessible for the physically challenged and is an attractive setting for people to gather.
