This is a wonderful museum for children. There are many areas all hands on. There is a library building area a firetruck shoping store outside water fun. The boy at entrance is a great climbing adventure,. my grandson loved the legos and the large machine that picked up balls and transfered them to another area. There were areas for the... More

I finally had the opportunity to visit EdVenture Children's Museum. With a 41/2 year old and a rainy afternoon on my hands, I accompanied my niece and her daughter. Having heard so much about it, I was excited to see what kinds of fun and educational exhibits they had created. My niece was enthralled with Ed himself, the larger than... More

Facility was old, dirty, and many exhibits were broken or missing parts. They need to do a renovation. For instance, there was a giant Operation game in the body section but it was missing body parts and didn't even work at the time. I did notice they were under construction so perhaps some things have improved since we went 2... More

Our grandkids love EdVenture and visit often. We visited with them when we were in town and felt like kids ourselves! So much to do and experience. From the firetruck that beckons imaginary fire fighting to the giant pizza in which you become toppings, to the pretend store, kids (and their parents and grandparents) learn by doing. The new dinosaur... More

We were so excited to visit EdVenture! We've been to similar kids museums in the last year in both Hunterville near Charlotte and in Greenville SC which are clean, beautiful and awesome. We were visiting Columbia for the weekend and this was our first stop. We came on a Friday afternoon and the museum was far from crowded which seemed... More

So we went last year and it wsa great! this year we went on Good Friday and go there around lunch time. Crowd was thinning down as it seemed there were a ton of school or camp groups that were just leaving, well they left the place a MESS and none of the workers re-stocked or cleaned any of the... We spend a full day here about once a quarter and have a ton of fun! Look for .12 cents Tuesdays and Bank of America Museums Days (one free admission ticket first Saturday of the month) for discounts. Look at their Calendar of Events online to find discount days and seasonal / traveling exhibits. This museum is totally hands-on for... More

My children absolutely loved "the biggest 10 year old." You play inside his anatomy. This definitely sets it apart from other children's museums. They also have a great art/craft room.

They really enjoyed their visit. They especially enjoyed the fire truck and sliding down the firemen's pole. they also enjoyed the farmer's tractor and the mini grocery store. They could pretend to go grocery shopping and put their pretend food in a mini shopping cart! They even check out their purchase at a mini cash register. There are even an... More
