We took our 7 yo grandson, and we all had a wonderful time--especially in the Forensic Lab and the electricity demonstration. The fella who conducted the experiments was a charm and a half--he made it fun for the kids to learn--which is the goal of...More

We evacuated Florida and headed to Columbia, SC to get away from Hurricane Irma. We found this gem during our stay and the kids loved it! Tons to do and very neat exhibits.

A lot of activities for the kids to explore. It has a huge boy figure that kids can climb inside and slide down. Mine got lost inside for 30 minutes! Air conditioned with a cafeteria. Parking was easy and free outside. Went after the eclipse,...More

The facility is great, handicap accessible and well thought out. The kid activities were educational and made familiar to all ages of youngsters. We travel with two (9 and 12). Well worth the stay. Grandson loved. the canal and boats.

The State Museum, right across the street and same parking lot, is better suited for children over 10... in my opinion. The Zoo is also a great attraction.
