Wife and I had a terrific time with the crazy folks at The Black Fedora. We were there for the FUN, not for the table service, though we had no problems in that area either. Our play was the Church Street Daughters. My wife was...More

I love the concept, location and intimacy of the venue. The owner/operators were fully involved in the production and wove the audience into the production. It seems that the food and bar service is operated as an after thought. The food prices are very low...More

Interesting way of getting audience involved in the performance. The show was full of laughter and passed quickly.

Visiting Charleston with six friends from college. We had an absolutely wonderful evening. The desserts and drinks were very good, the play was rib splittingly funny. The audience participation (completely optional) just added to the hilarity.

My family was in Charleston celebrating some birthdays in the family, and we booked a show at The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre as one of our evening activities. The show "Sherlock's Other Brother" was great entertainment with audience participation, subtle (and not so subtle)...More

We were drawn to the venue on an afternoon amble around downtown Charleston. When sorting through our various flyers and guides in the evening figured we'd take a chance on a kooky bit of Sunday night entertainment. Sherlocks brother by a southern mother was our...More

It was a very exiting and interactive show. I myself enjoyed it more than a lot of other plays or movies. Well written, well done, super funny, and entertaining. Had a blast!!!

There was no doubt the room was full of like-minded tourists ready for the murder and mayhem of comedy mystery theater. Drinks, and snacks are extra charge. But theatre crew were quick on their feet and the play was silly and fun.

Thank you for asking this good question! While the shows are for adults, they are appropriate for children, especially your age children and older. They are clean, with no bad language at all and nothing crude. Some of the... More
