Locals and visitors alike, if you haven't experienced Sound of Charleston, you are missing out. Superb and moving performances from all of the artists. I am a local who attended for the first time. It won't be my last.

A little sad I had not gone before yesterday because this is a show worth seeing again and again. Each of the five performers were very talented and entertaining. From a thrilling 4-handed rendition of RHAPSODY IN BLUE to wonderful old spirituals and more, this...More

We made the only show in January – – but the performance was still very refined it and entertaining. All the performances were superb. The highlights, of course, were the spirituals and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The finale of Amazing Grace triggered chills down our...More

A thoroughly enjoyable program featuring a baritone singing 3 familiar operatic pieces, gospel music provided by members of the very talented Britt family, Civil War era tunes, and some jazz. Master of Ceremonies Bill Schritt is an enthusiastic showman and his banjo/country dulcimer/guitar/mandolin playing partner...More

Literally, the music spans from colonial times through Gershwin, focusing on music related to Charleston. The best part was the gospel - if that did get you wanting to stand and clap, nothing will. The pieces were all a good length and the whole show...More

What a treat this was! The Sound of Charleston is a history of Charleston though music. It started with classical music performed by the principal flutist from the Symphony and moved onward to jazz with music Gershwin. It was beautifully narrated. One of the highlights...More

We like the Mills house . It may be a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is nice and we usually get a salad and burger. Check out Gaulart &Maliclet a little french place a few blocks. There are so many restaurants you can't go... More

Hi, Bill! I've been trying to contact you re our group reservation for October 7th via the "email" on your website -- but obviously it isn't working. Didn't know if you were aware of the problem with the "contact us" messaging. And it must have not been working when I first contacted about our situation a couple months ago, since I've not received an answer. (Don't want to go into the situation on this site.) I will give you a call at a reasonable time tomorrow (it's nearly 11:30 pm right now!)
