Always visit Waterfront Park. Love being near the water and the fountains. Swings are nice when available.

I have the opportunity to visit this park daily. After living in the are since 1976, this site easily affords the absolutely best view of the Cooper River, harbor and Ravenel Bridge. It is large enough to offer a game of catch, walk your dog...More

Decent sized public park with two fountains, where children and adults can wade around, including the famous pineapple fountain. The view includes Patriots Point where the USS Yorktown and others are moored. This is right off the heart of downtown, and the East/South Battery homes,...More

The wife and I visited the park while strolling around Charleston. This place is beautiful. It looks like something off of a movie. I liked the palmetto trees lined along the walkway. A great place for a stroll or just set and people watch.

Relax in country swings on the pier and watch the ocean. Let the kids play in the water fountain. Watch people catch crabs off the pier. Beautiful little park area.

It is a City of Charleston park, so there are definite restrictions. I'd call the city and ask. Parking can be a problem, and there are always LOTS of tourists, so any sort of privacy will be difficult. Not so sure if you... More

There are parking garages nearby. You will be very lucky to find a parking meter close by or have enough change. A quarter gets you 15 minutes. Enforced to 6:00 pm free on weekends.
