The Citadel has impressive campus buildings and the Chapel, but we were more interested in the military helicopters and cannons on the vast field, where the graduation ceremonies take place. Busy cadets were everywhere on the grounds… they are very courteous and welcoming.

We spent thirty minutes at the Citadel and started our drive to the airport, which is very close to it.

Beautiful campus. The architecture of the buildings was stunning. Nice bookstore. It was graduation day there. Our daughter-in-law graduated with her Master's degree, but didn't attend the ceremony. She just had to pick up a box waiting for her at the bookstore. Because of graduation, parking was extremely difficult to find. After riding around, we did find something. I imagine that it would be a lot better any other time.

We visited a family friend at school here and everyone was polite and the campus is beautiful! Lots of history! We enjoyed the small amount we saw.

Daughter-in-law graduated with Master's degree. She didn't walk, but had to pick up a box so we visited for an hour or so. Beautiful campus. Due to graduation activities, parking was difficult and they did block off some entrances. Obviously, the best time to visit is not during all the pomp and circumstance activities. The large ring statue at the main entrance is great for a photo op.

I was at The Citadel for business and my visit was nothing short of amazing. Kind staff and the students left me in awe. They are so hard working and kind. The bookstore is really great and has a huge selection of gear if you want some Citadel swag. The history here is rich and highly recommend visiting on a Friday after noon for the school’s Parade so you can see all the hard work the student put into this school. Five stars, hoping to visit again!

While it was a challenge to find (GPS was confused) once we did it was delightful. we caught the end of the church service and had an opp to talk with students and get their take on classes, service etc. we sat watching a rugby game in shaded bench with a wonderful breeze; great bookstore and enjoyed meeting the students.

We knew a student who attended here and were happy to visit the campus. There is much in the way of tradition and pageantry on this small but prestigious campus.

This tour taught me the Freshman Cadets had to walk with a slight run. The church had a little surprise as well. Freshman cadet was napping in the AC. He is the Smart Freshman Cadet. Fun and informative!
