We are a family that loves games and escape games are a favorite activity. We have played more than 30 escape room games around the country. Time Traveler was one of our top 10 venues and we were sad to see them close their location. But we played their Vincent Chicco's Speakeasy, an outdoor escape room, the day after Thanksgiving. There were 6 of us (3 from the Charleston area and 3 from out of town) which was a perfect size group in my opinion. I don't want to give anything away but I will tell you that you carry a small briefcase from place to place solving clues. The weather wasn't that great but it didn't get in the way of us having fun. There is time for a drink at some of the places you stop as you figure out the next clue. It was a unique way to try new places in the city and see some new sites all while having a blast. Meaghan our host was great and made the activity so much fun. I highly recommend doing this with your family and/or friends. I would even do it again with other people that come to visit just to watch their reactions. Hopefully they will have more outdoor escape rooms soon. I cannot recommend this game more.

I had such a great time with you too, even though the weather didn't want to cooperate. I actually think it adds to the fun a bit. Please come play again. The 2 NEW games will be here very soon! Look forward to seeing everyone again!

This was such a fun outdoor activity. The weather was perfect. It took us about 2 hours and 45 minutes, but we took our time and enjoyed drinks along the way.
I would highly recommend it!
Thank you, Meghan, for a great experience.

Myself and a group of work friends did this today and had so much fun. We are locals so we knew the history but still enjoyed walking around downtown trying to sol e the puzzles. I highly recommend it for locals and tourists.

Pack your thinking caps and good shoes. This fun adventure ticked all our boxes, outside activity, informational and opportunity to have adult beverages.
Local history and unique sites that we may not have seen or experienced in our short visit. Thank you and look forward to your new adventures.

We booked all three rooms for a girl scout adventure. The employees/owners were awesome and very helpful with answering questions. Game masters provided some guidance without giving everything away. The room had a lot of special trick/electronic locks and did not rely on just key and code locks. There was an interesting local back story, which made it also (semi) educational. Fun was had by all. Would definitely visit again if I go back to Charleston!!! Definitely recommend.

We are a group of 3, we’ve done over 200 escape rooms. We visited an did the Dr. Tott’s apothecary, Lavinia fishers boarding house, and the John F Kennedy, the spy, who loves me. Each of the three rooms starts with a real historical story and builds on it. Every room was unique. Our favorite was dr. Todd’s apothecary. It is a unique theme that we’ve never seen anywhere else. And some unique puzzles. Puzzles true to theme. Stag was very friendly. We actually sign up for two and decided to do a third.
If you’ve never done an escape room before, they are a sort of 3-D puzzle. It is always good to have different skills among your team. If you do an escape room for the first time, make sure to tell the room master that it is your first room, and they will likely help with nudges to keep it moving. Parking is a little tricky around there so you should allow some extra time to find parking. The location is on the second floor, but the sign is pretty easy to find.

My wife, two daughters and I tried our first escape room. This one (Dr. Trott's Apothecary) was pretty challenging, but we escaped and only needed one clue. Good connection to Charleston and fun puzzles. A bit pricey for a family outing $100 for 4 people for 1 hour, but fun occasional activity.

Awesome, time well spent with my husband and two teen daughters. They loved our Apothecary experience so much they wanted to return another day for another experience but we had a packed itinerary already. It took us the entire time to complete the cApurchase soda, beer or wine to take with you into the room. A+ experience

Since we were visitors to Charleston, we loved that the Escape rooms were based around actual stories from Charleston’s history. We also appreciated that we could book a private room for the four of us without paying any additional amount. Ariana, our host, was great!

We loved that the room was personalized to Charleston itself (all of the rooms we at least somewhat historically based on Charleston stories) and we absolutely loved how dedicated Adrianna (I think? I hope I got that correct) was to her job. She was so fun and sweet to us and made it the best possible experience. We did the apothecary room which was mostly puzzles. (Boarding house is riddles and the spy one is codes.) We had unlimited clues which is unusual but it, surprisingly, was still a bit of a challenge. One if not the best out there.
