Overview
More
The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships that once dotted the Charleston Harbor carrying supplies and passengers to and from the plantations. She is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and is the only 3 mast tall ship that offers public sails in Charleston Harbor. You can sit back and enjoy the the views and gentle ocean breeze or get involved with trimming the sails. We are not a narrated tour, but are happy to answer questions and point out interesting landmarks! Daily afternoon and sunset sails are available March - Early November. Special group sails and private charters available year round!

Booked the sunset cruise for Sunday, October 8. Unfortunately, there was no sunset due to cloud cover, but my wife and I still had a terrific time and would recommend the Schooner Pride to everyone who visits Charleston. The crew was very friendly and very...More

Sunset, a sailing ship, wine--how do you top that? This was an excellent experience, only wish was that it had been about 2 hours longer. Crew was excellent, and I have to admit it was really fun getting to help raise the sails! Crew was...More

On the first day we went there unfortunately it was the wrong day (one day early) the Captain "Jenn" said they were booked for the day but would take us aboard if there were any no-shows, but no luck. Came back the next day and...More

After a very hot and humid afternoon (even though it was October), it was a relief to board the Schooner Pride for a "sunset cruise" in Charleston. Unfortunately, it clouded over so we saw no sunset, but the cooler breezes in the harbor and the...More

Good cruise with a friendly crew! Reasonably priced refreshments as well, which is a plus. The captain was very competent and the rest of the crew were very capable.

We had great winds which made it more special. The crew is fantastic. They work together with the sails like a team who has done it for a long time. It was the highlight of our stay in Charleston. The two hours went so fast....More

Took a very enjoyable 2 hour cruise aboard the Schooner Pride on September 26th at 1730 hours. The sailboat was comfortable and the drinks were cold. The Captain and her Mates were knowledgeable, friendly and seaworthy. We came close to rescuing a swimmer in distress...More

I'd highly suggest going on this versus any other boat if you're into an adventure. The crew was extremely professional and knew how to make sure their guests enjoyed themselves.

Hi, thanks for the question. Each cruise is 2 hours. The time depends on the time of year.

One of the if not THE worst things I've ever spent money on. Absolutely pathetic. The "story teller" made things up and for stories from other people telling her such. The ad for the ghost tour cruise is so misleading.

Thank you for your question. We serve beer, wine and champagne on board the Schooner Pride. Prices range from $4 - $7.50. Wine is served in individual bottles of 187ml, so a little more than a normal glass of wine. Same... More
