Surprising artifacts and collections that can keep you there for a day. We were told it was small and easy to see - we were actually then surprised by its size. We spent three hours and hope to return for many more. You can combine...More

It was a lot to take in and read, if you really want to know about the history. The video was good in the slavery part. Lots of relics, memorabilia and natural history as well, that is so interesting. My girls even got to dress...More

The museum had a great display of Indian and slave era exhibits. The Civil War era exhibits were most excellent. For a 'small' city museum, this was a bargain.

I was very surprised by the museum and the interesting artifacts. Not only is it a museum of Charleston, but of early artifacts from Charleston residents including dinosaur skeletons and Eqyptian artifacts.

There was a lot of interesting artifacts in this museum. I especially liked seeing the dinosaur fossils and Egyptian artifacts. They have a lot about Charleston history.

This is the South but the museum exhibits tasteful, educational, yet accurate, in the way they depicted life in the South. This is an excellent museum the exhibits are stunning including a surprise with the Egyptology section. If in Charleston this is well worth the...More

I would suggest taking the free public bus rather than have to hunt for a parking spot.
