Very old church with friendly people. I was baptized at this church 20 years ago. The services are nice and there is a gorgeous organ inside. The upstairs used to be where slaves sat, but is now open for anyone to sit! What a neat...More

This church is amazingly beautiful. I got a history about it too which was nice. The people inside are so lovely and sweet and open to any questions and visitors. My friends grandparents go to church here and say the services are lovely.

The graveyard is fascinating. Having read about many of the important figures in Beaufort's history at Waterfront Park - from the early trading days with the native tribes (well before the Revolutionary War) to post Civil War - we were amazed to find their graves...More

Was on a biking tour of old Beaufort and stopped to see the church and grounds. Been here awhile--lots of 18th and 19th century headstones in the church's yard. One of the first in the area.

Be sure to stop by during the week and listen to the history of this amazing church. I am pretty sure that it is the best attended church in Beaufort for a very good reason. So many work to make it successful.

I know this is a historic building but if you are in Beaufort on Sunday morning, consider worshiping here. A warm congregation. A powerful device. All in a beautiful pre Revolutionary War Anglican Church. Quite an uplifting experience.

Visited this church as part of a day trip from Charleston. It's nice that members of the congregation serve as docents. Our "guide" gave us a good overview of the history of this church. She also mentioned graves of note in the surrounding cemetery that...More

The historical district of Beaufort is lovely, and wouldn't be complete with out a visit to St. Helena's. Our docent, Wayne, knew the history of the church & town, and added a personal touch.
