It was actually more beautiful than I had expected it to be. It is definitely worth it to take a look, even if you don't have children with you, the child in you can appreciate this carousel. The artwork around the inside is beautiful- I...More

The carousel has vintage horses that are available to small children. There is a weight limit, so keep that in mind or call ahead if you are uncertain if your child will be able to ride. The cost was $1 per ride which lasts a...More

old style flying horses going round with the music. Too bad there is an age and weight limit! I would have loved to ride.

Our children grew up looking forward to the return of the flying horses each summer in Watch Hill. The horses are a work of art. The children love the challenge of reaching for the rings as the carousel spins around; children who are old enough...More

The Flying Horse Carousel is a wonderful piece of Watch Hill history. It is not overly fancy or beautiful for that matter but the fact it's been here so long and all the generations of kids it's brought happiness to is awe inspiring In itself....More

Been trying to grab the "brass ring" when I was a boy, my daughters and now my grandkids. Just gotta be under 5 foot and less than 100 pounds to take a $1.50 ride on the historic relic.

Must see this old classic carousel. It brings charm to such a beautiful sea side town. It will only hold children so adults can only enjoy watching the kids, but the ice cream store is only a few stores down the street so grab a...More

Amazing! Built in 1867. Got that...the oldest in the country and unlike any carousel that you've ever seen. Even when it wasn't operating (like yesterday) it was totally cool.

I do not believe there is a minimum age, I have seen parents standing along side of the horse to guide the child in the experience when the age is younger.
