This is a great place to just unload your thoughts while hiking an ocean front trail. Pack a refresher drink, good shoes, and some sun screen... You will want to take it slow to take it all in.

The day we were there was quite busy with many fishing. The paths were easy to follow and we chose the ocean view path. Not much sign of wildlife but spectacular views. A wonderful way to enjoy nature and get away from the crowds in...More

While at the Newport Visitor center, one of the people giving advice mentioned this after we mentioned that we had completed the Cliff Walk. We found to be a much more impressive walk than the Cliff Walks. Definitely off the beaten path!

This is a great place for walking or jogging, going for a walk with friends or by yourself. The views are stunning. You can sometimes spot a deer.

I often come here with friends to walk the trails. The views cannot be beat and the trails are marked so you know how many miles you will be walking before you start down the path. The center is a good place to stop to...More

My husband and I visited this natural area, and enjoyed a short hike out to a couple of the shore access points, and one of the lookout points. The hike is fairly easy (and the maps tell which are the most and least strenuous), and...More

In some ways, the "best" spot is at Sachuset Point itself, which is between shoreline access points 2 and 4 on the refuge map that you can get at the headquarters or can download online (can't list the URL here due to TA... More

Its open, check on visitors center hours, sure it would be rough going with all the snow, trails aren't cleared. But some good viewing if you're up to it. Skis or snow shoes???
