Goosewing Beach is adjacent to the public South Shore Beach in Little Compton. The Nature Conservancy purchased the property that preserves pristine coastal pond, beach and shore environments. Quiet, no amenities, perfect for really enjoying nature at its best.

Part of the fun of going to Goosewing, paying a toll to the farmer and his wife, is gone, but it is still a lovely beach. No coolers, no bikinis and no lifeguards if you walk far enough from the parking area. This is a...More

We had trouble finding it at first, although I have been there several times many years ago. We went at the end of the day, so parking, which is usually a problem, was not a problem. No lifeguards past 4, but it was nice and...More

We walked up to the preserve from the beach adjacent. The dunes were roped off due to the nesting birds. It's such a lovely spot and nice to see that this area is protected from development. This was a popular spot during my husband's childhood...More

Great beach. Beware after Labor Day though as no restrooms (porta-potties) available. Very little dry sand to lay out on. Be sure to bring a chair.

This pristine peaceful beach alongside Little Compton's town beach is a total gem! I can see why the locals want to keep it to themselves. I came upon it just after Labor Day therefore plenty of free parking right up on the beach. The waves...More

After spending some time at South Shore Beach (where we parked) in Little Compton, we took a long walk towards the Goosewing Beach Preserve. The shoreline was very pretty -- a long stretch of firmly packed sand that eventually passed beneath dunes and cliffs. Along...More

While I don't know what the official policy is, I have never seen dogs at this beach. I would guess the answer is No.
