This is The Archeological Museum Narona. One of best small museums in Croatia and is a well hidden gem. Staff is great and location is close to border between Croatia and Bosnia and Hezegovina. Would recommend to see it if in the area.

This place is a must see for any archeological enthusiast. It is well of the main roads, so one must do some research before going there, but well worth it. This place could be much better, but it is a place in development, so it...More

This was a unique type of museum. They found a 1st century Roman Temple and built the museum around it. Some of the funds are very cool and intact. If you are in this area you should make the stop and see this museum.

A very nice museum-perfect fit in the space to preserve and glimpse the look of the Roman temple on which it is located. Kind staff is at your disposal for any questions regarding the finds or the way of life of that space and time.

There is no chance to take photos inside. Somehow the very modern exterior spoilt the general area which is very old. Inside it just makes you remember how small and insignificant we all are. There is plenty of information on "The Narona Archaeological Museum" online.
