Very enjoyable experience. The aquarium was interesting-the turtle actually followed you when you moved back and forth in front of him/her - so cute. The nature walk was diversified, interesting, and lovely. We saw two osprey nests. One had two babies that kept poking their heads up - so doggone cute. There were cormorants and gulls. It was a perfect day to hike the well maintained trail to beautiful Narragansett Bay,

My husband, adult son and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit during Raptor Weekend 2021. The presentations on owls, hawks, peregrine falcons and other raptors were excellent. The handlers walked into the audience with the raptors so we were able to get great photos. There’s a small interesting museum and aquarium. The rest rooms are very clean and there’s a small gift shop. The pollinator garden was beautiful and we saw many butterflies. We did the one mile round trip walk on the wooden boardwalk to the overlook of Narragansett Bay and watched the boats for a while. There were 2 food trucks available and we had excellent pork asado. The staff and volunteers were friendly. We highly recommend a visit during Raptor Weekend or anytime to enjoy the beautiful property.

My husband and 16 year old sons walked the trail one morning amid woodlands and marshes. It was a nice little hike. We went in the morning and it was hot as there are open spots so bring water. There are some stop off places like a bird/duck blind and viewing areas. We saw some birds.

This center is truly beautiful. The building is wonderfully constructed with a great aquarium and nature exhibits including an interactive series of bird pics with corresponding bird calls. It seems there is some activity there almost every weekend. The recent event was a raptor weekend with demonstrations of live raptors (owls, eagles, hawks, etc) even having hawks flying above visitors' heads. The property includes lovely gardens including some pollinator fields and insect habitat, and fields below the main building yield to wooded areas with trails that go down to the bay with views of Osprey nesting platforms. The whole site is all about education (e.g. of marsh, fields, birds, etc) and it's engaging for adults and children of all ages.

Enjoyed the 1 mile loop from the main entrance to the harbor, including a lovely boardwalk surrounded by nature. Saw butterflies, birds, and grasshoppers. The insect hotel is adorable—clever idea. The walk is easy —flat. And free, including free parking. Lovely facility with plenty of bathrooms and a nice gift shop. Kind attendant gave us a map of the grounds. After your walk, drive 5 minutes up the street to Warren and enjoy a coffee cabinet at an old fashioned soda shoppe called Deletka Pharmacy that is worth a visit. Other ice cream flavors, too! Cute downtown to explore with shops and restaurants.

The day we went the temps were around 100 degrees and we just wanted a place with AC. WOW.. They have done an excellent job with this place. Lots of really interesting things. Was too warm for the out side trails but I had seen them before and they are great. Goes right down to the water of the upper bay. A must see for the whole family

Bristol's Audubon Society's Nature Center has a very nice visitor center which contains some most interesting exhibits. Modest in size, it never the less is a great destination to answer a variety of questions on the local flora and fauna and a superb place to bring kids to let them learn a bit about the world around them. The nature paths adjoining are very good especially the longer one to the waterside where the walker can view an osprey aerie nearby.

We went on a nice nature walk with a leader, who pointed out everything from the trees, plants and bugs. They also have a beehive housing complex and I really enjoyed shopping at the center.

My husband and I took our 2-and 3-year-old grandchildren here on a regular weekday. I think kids need to be older to appreciate what’s here, or maybe there needs to be an event or class happening. Our kids were scared by the “night” exhibit (which I thought was really cool). A couple of the interactive displays were not working. The tidal pool tank was not touchable (unlike Save the Bay’s in Newport, which the kids love). We took the half-mile walk through the meadow and down the boardwalk (and a half-mile back, bring the stroller for the trip back for sure, which we didn’t unfortunately). It’s a nice safe place to walk and run, but we literally didn’t see any wildlife. Not even a bird! There were only so many butterflies to point out. Even we were bored. We had been looking forward to the end of the path at the water’s edge, but the boardwalk traps you inside it. You can only look at the water and shore — not really what RI kids are used to!

The education center is great for the kids with things to explore and the trail down to the water is safe for children and easy to navigate with a stroller.
