The Amish Village is an authentic look at today's Amish lifestyle. Located on 12 scenic acres, The Amish Village lets visitors experience an authentic Amish property, including a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, smokehouse market and more.

To begin an understanding of the Pennsylvania Dutch culture, The Amish Village provides a 25-minute guided farmhouse tour. A 90-minute back roads bus tour is also offered to take you off the beaten path, past working farms and along country roads where buggies roll along and farmers work their fields.

I travelled by train from Philadelphia to Lancaster and took an Uber ride to/from the Amish Village. I found the 90 min bus tour really informative and we had a stop at an Amish store en route. However, I found the commentary during the farmhouse tour a little repetitive of what I had already heard on the bus, but it... More

I don't normally book tours, but knew we wouldn't get the full understanding if we rented a car and drove around by ourselves. I am glad I made this choice. We took Amtrak from Philly to Lancaster and then Uber to Amish Village ($17.47 for Uber one way). Our tour guide was knowledgeable of the Amish and gave us a... More

I visited Lancaster County many times as a child, and felt pretty well educated on the Amish, until I visited the Amish Village. The 25-minute house tour was led by an affable and engaging gentleman who explained the Amish origins and some of their religious practices. After the tour we had the opportunity to visit the grounds, see some animals,... More

I really wanted to go to Lancaster and get some insights into the Amish lifestyle. Looking at the reviews I was trying to decided between two places and we ended up going to the Amish Village. We were greeted by Ginny when we walked into the gift shop. We were not sure which tour we wanted to take. We decided... More

Really nice and knowledgable staff who are very helpful. I think there were too many people on our house tour which made it a bit too crowded.

Nice place to include in a one day visit to the region. Interesting visit to know a little about the Amish. For the small kids should be a very rich experience, as they can interact with many farm animals.

We had a large number of family members on our tour. They were able to take us all together. Had persons age 4 to 75 and the tour was enjoyed by all including teens. Would not be easy for someone who has difficulty walking - at least the house tour.

Instead of loosing your times on road looking for Amish people, choose to swing by to this place. The visit of the farm and the tour bus will give you a very complete view about this area. The know their business and they are totally dedicated to answer your questions, really nice.

We took a premium package an enjoyed it very much. The minibus tour took about 1,5 hour ride around and saw from bus authentic amish homes, schools, farms. The tour inside the amish home with experienced and very friendly guide was really nice and interesting..
