What an impressive area of Lake Erie! I was visiting for the Tall Ships Festival and was determined to see Presque Isle while in the area. It was just gorgeous! I stopped at "Leslie BC" (didn't see a beach #). It was a beautiful area with wide beaches. The seagulls enjoyed hanging out on the break walls. Somebody was playing... More

We came to the park to geocache and had a really good time. Clean park with many picnic and rest areas. The are many beach access points so you can find and uncrowded spot. Saw many fishing areas and boat launches. Nice to have a state where their parks are free. Four hours was not enough time to see everything.

The beaches are nice with clear clean water. There are a lot of activities to do such as kayaking, bicycling, walking. The views are beautiful. I'd recommend stopping a Sara's for a great burger and onion rings or a soft serve ice cream to end your day.

We spent Memorial Day on this gorgeous peninsula. There was so much to see and do. It would take a week or more to experience everything! Many beaches, lighthouses, activities, and rentals of everything from bikes to canoes, kayaks, to pontoons. There was a science center, boat tours, and activities too numerous to mention. We did ride the Lady Kate,... More

This is very much a family-oriented, pet friendly park. We went down to the Mill Creek Beaches and had a lovely time. Stop by the ranger's station and ask for their recommendation - we did and the beach they suggested was very nice and not very crowded.

We visited on our way to Niagara Falls, mainly as a place to stop and stretch our legs and weren't disappointed by what we found. It was a beautiful, peaceful place in March, perfect for a stroll along the beach and just staring out at the waves. There isn't a lot of shell picking (not that you'd expect it) but... More

This State Park has it all. Peninsula w/ Bay to east and Great Lake to west. Close enough to Erie for special dining and shopping, too. We generally take long weekends there regardless of season. Spend an afternoon or two before the drive to Niagara Falls. Within the park, we always do the favorites, but, never fail to find something... More

We visited Presque Isle State Park in October. The weather was cool and the park wasn't busy. We drove around the island and enjoyed the wonderful views, especially on the Lake Erie side with the lighthouse. The waves were crashing on the rocks and there were benches in the sand to watch them. The lighthouse was so nice. This was... More

Presque Isle State Park is perfectly situated on Lake Erie giving something for everyone to do at their own pace. We started parking our car near the park entrance and riding our bicycles along the very shaded bayside path. Quite a few other bicyclists, skaters and runners were sharing the trail with us in the morning but the wide paved... More

We went to Beach #9 today with our 7 year old. It is the perfect beach for smaller children. The water is clear, sand is nice, and it's not deep. We wanted to go to Beach #11, but it didn't open until 12pm and we arrived at the park at 10am. Bathrooms are gross, but the park is free, so... More
