can't find a listing for the North Shore in general. Overall, this area has really improved since I grew up there 20+ years ago. Nice open space along the river, going all the way up past the three sisters bridges. Wasn't very impressed with the statue itself; looks like it was carved out of a block of chocolate; crudely. Love... More

Loved the soundtrack at the statue with Mr. Rogers singing and talking to us. I walked here before dawn and watched the sun rise over the city. What a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

What a wonderful tribute to someone who taught generations how to be kind and gentile human beings. I don't think the sculpture was deliberately made to resemble Mr Rogers but instead as a tribute to him. Either way, it's awesome!

The statue itself is sorta weird, not really my taste. It's not much of a likeness, so if you didn't know who it's supposed to be you might walk on by. The best part is the Mr. Rogers songs that play in a loop; there are several, including the "Won't You Be My Neighbor" song. Of course there's also the... More

Sweet memories when you go there. There is an audio recording running of his show which is nice for awhile but it gets to be a bit much if you stay in the area long.

Beautiful memorial for a beautiful soul. Many of us grew up watching mr Rogers....I was so excited when I found out that my husband was taking me to see the memorial. When you walk up you can read about mr Rogers and there is audio from the show playing in the background. The memorial overlooks the incline and the fountain... More

I personally think this statue is ugly; I don't like the style of the art. It doesn't do Mr. Rogers justice, in my opinion. It's one a few monuments on the North Shore (right beside the fallen police officers memorial) and just a few minutes (if that) from the WW II memorial.

Music from Mr Rogers Neighborhood greets you as you approach the monument. While the construction of the statue is a little scary up close it's situated in a beautiful area on the north side with a beautiful view of Point State Park and downtown. Easy to get to while you wait for the gates to open for a game at... More

So, everyone knows who Mr. Rogers is/was, right? Well, he was from and loved the city of Pittsburgh, which is why they dedicated the statue to him. But man, it is just a little odd and creepy.. Call it art, I guess..
