We have always considered ourselves an old fashioned part of roadside America. Trundle Manor is currently the headquarters of the Secret Society of Odd Acquisition and is curated by the eccentric Mr Arm and Velda Von Minx. Built in 1910, Trundle Manor has become a place where a culmination of years of insane collecting and creating has found its niche. Want to be a little creeped out? Need something different to bring your chick to? Like horror movies and want to see the beginnings of a serial killer's obsession? Well, come on down and experience all of this and more. If you are Steampunk, Goth, rockabilly or just a little weird you will love Trundle Manor and want to come back often. Come and see our vast array of jarred animals, antique taxidermy, things for which to murder with, old world charm, sadistic medical devices, coffins and coffin like items, Steampunk influenced creations, cryptozoology, and any other thing your twisted mind will want to look at. Nothing in the Manor is rubber, latex, or fake, (except Uncle Trundle)! We pride ourselves on not filling our shelves with cheesy, fake memorabilia.

We misremembered our appointment time and showed up an hour early, but Velda warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour nonetheless. She tells the stories of some of the more interesting pieces of the collection, which is as bizarre as it gets - from a half-dog half-mermaid to a robot butler to speculums to mummified cats... this is definitely... We were amazed at the variety of things on display, some of them way more bizarre than I can imagine thinking up on my own. :p Velda was so friendly and shared stories about their collection. Although they don't charge a set fee, we did contribute at the end and also bought pins/buttons as mementos. Definitely a must see in... More

My husband and I plugged in the address of Trundle Manor on a random Tuesday evening and stopped there on our road trip on the way into Pittsburgh. We found the location on a quiet hilltop but alas it was not open. My husband knocked on the door and peered at the lawn and announced it looked unworthy of a... More

Loved meeting the owner, she told us about different things that were there in the house and how they got there.

The collection at Trundle Manor is amazing, but what really makes it a "must see" are the owners, curators, and makers of much of the collection, Mr. ARM and Velda. They are personable, intelligent, dress the part, and are amazingly imaginative and skilled. The quality of their craftsmanship and aesthetic vision are tops. Plus, they live their art. Our trip... First of all, their website doesn't really say what this is, but it sounded interesting. We made reservations for Thursday night and drove to the house. When we pulled up by the curb, we all looked at each other and wondered aloud if our friends and family knew where we were, just in case we disappeared. We checked in on... More

Four of us had made reservations to tour this house on Aug.8 Saturday. Mr. Arm had confirmed the reservation. Two of the people in our group were from out of town, a four hour drive to be exact. No answer at the door. A phone call was made to Mr. Arm, he answered the phone and hung up on us.... More

I came to Trundle Manor based on reviews I read online. I will be honest in saying I was apprehensive at first but very pleased I decided to make this part of my Pittsburgh trip. In my opinion the tour and content are safe for children ages 10+. My 13 year old found it very interesting and was engaged throughout... More

Oddly entertaining; Trundle Manor transports you to a different world. Velda was entertaining as she guided us through their collection. Unique does not even begin to describe the experience. Definitely off the beaten path. If you enjoy the odd, macabre or bizarre, put it on your list of must see places. Appreciated Velda tailoring her tour to accommodate my 11... More
