We took our grandson (aged 8) on this submarine and he loved it! It was pretty tight quarters for us adults but he thought it was the best thing ever!!

I was biking the city of Pittsburgh with a friend when we came upon the USS Requin near the Science Center. I'm a huge military history buff so just had to stop. The USS Requin provides a great walk-thru of a late World War 2...More

This well-taken care of naval history was excellent to walk through, read about, and learn from the staff about.

I am short, 5" 1, and I still had to duck when inside of this Submarine from WWII. It shows how little space these men had to live in when working on the sub. Really Amazing. A must see for anyone interested in History.

This is a real submarine open to the public through the Science Center. The displays are clear, the spaces are tight and the sense of realism is palpable.

Though I've had opportunities to walk through submarines before I always chose not to because it was in a very hot climate and too crowded. On the day we visited it just happened to be cool enough and not too busy that we were able...More

Part of the Carnegie Science Center complex, this is a World War II submarine. It is truly amazing to imagine the men living in these cramped quarters during the war. It is worth a visit at least once and kids of all ages just love...More

Came upon this by accident while at another attraction. Loved the tour. It was engaging and interesting. A whole new perspective of life in the Navy. Worth the visit.

The center is closed "for renovations related to the new PPG Science Pavilion", according to the website. It should be open on your last day, the 14th, though. You can walk by and see the sub fine from the walking path... More

It's free with admission to the Science Center. I am not sure you can buy admission to *only* the USS Requin.

You can still l park in the Museum lot. I think it is free. You would just walk down to the river and sub is right there. It is cool - small and claustrophobic and every inch is used - I mean every inch!! You will love it.
