What do you do when it is almost 70 degrees on a Saturday in February and you are visiting your 2 young grandsons in Pittsburgh? Well... you take them to the zoo, of course! I really enjoyed seeing the animals and most of the exhibits were open and the animals outside because of the unusually warm winter day! There are... More

This zoo has the usual zoo animals: elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, etc. But my children and I enjoyed the aquarium most. There are a nice variety of turtles, fish, seals, and walkthrough tank. Nice walking but could use a little updating.

We had the opportunity to visit the zoo during a recent tournament trip to Pittsburgh. It was a beautiful day for Feb with the temp. high 60's. It is a nice zoo. It is not a large zoo but a nice size. There were a lot of animals to see and nice selection of animals as well. My son's favorite... More

The zoo has changed a great deal since I was a child - no more cages. The open-spaces, geographical organization, and ability to get up close and... More

We have visited many zoos and Pittsburgh is one of the top! The best time to go is in the cooler months. The animals are more active and the crowds are less.

The zoo is a nice place to be. Through a nice walk in the nature, you experiment to see a lot of different animal species, a great aquarium and fun games for kids. Birthday parties can also be accommodated.

Great place to visit with or without kids. I would highly recommend it. Why do I have to type 100 words?
