A little crowded

I enjoyed but next time won't go on a weekend. It was super crowded. My 6 year old loved the submarine!!

I loved visiting here. This is a place adults can go and be kids again and where families can go for a fun day trip. A great place for kids to learn in a fun and exciting way. The exhibits are great and I have a good time every time I go.

This is a great place for kids, but unfortunately, a little on the duller side for adults. The exhibits do not change very frequently and are really aimed at children. There are a couple of nice things for adults, such as the IMAX Theater and the Laser Light Shows. Also it is a bit on the expensive side, but if... More

Very nice place for kids with IMAX theatre. We spent hours and could easily come for next few days. The only negative it is pretty pricey unless you have a membership, i.e. Live in Pittsburgh or near.

First let me start by saying I took my wife and 4 year old daughter to the Science Center. My daughter had fun because she could run around and touch things. I felt the cost for 3 of us was a bit high. I would have possibly not been upset with the cost had the place changed a bit from... More

Okay, I'm going to be the realist or bad guy, whichever you prefer. This is the worst excuse for a science center I've been to. Ones I've been decades ago were more interesting than this as well as others around the country. I expected more from Carnegie. Our daughter is homeschooled and we went on the premise of this being... More

The Carnegie Science Center has lots of educational and fun activities for school-age children. Most are hands-on activities and all are very educational. In addition they have a planetarium show and an Omni-Max theatre. On the Ohio River, right outside the building they also have a WWII submarine where they have tours inside it. Most of the activities are for... More

Great place to take the kids to kill a couple of hours and maybe learn something while they are at it. While I like the Chidren's Museum more, the Science Center is a nice change of pace.

Our favorite part of the Carnegie Science Center is the model train layout. It is first class! Take your time and look at each section. This was our second time visiting the Science Center and enjoyed seeing this part again. We noticed additions and updates, too. Unfortunately, the science part of the museum had several displays marked with "Out of... More

We visited with a cub scout pack and stayed overnight in the museum. The exhibits were very good. We especially enjoyed the omni max theater and the planetarium show. Sleeping on the floor with the whole pack was fun: kind of like camping indoors, with no showers. I would recommend it for kids. It isn't very advanced for adults as... More
