The community has done a great job in revitalizing this section of the area. The night life is fun, the food is awesome, and parking is reasonable.

Took a bit to decide where to stay and ended up on the south side to be close to both tours and inclines. As others had mentioned, mostly restaurants and lack of stores as in the past.

Carson is a very active street, would recommend you don't jay walk. Cops are better with keeping the public acts of urination and drunkenness down at night. Lots of bars, the Library has a cute pool table room upstairs and reasonable drinks. Bike path by...More

The southside has managed to stay pretty much the same over the years. Kinda dirty, busy on the weekends in the evening, and full of cops. This area of town is more for 21-27 or so age range in the evenings and more for anyone...More

Carson street has so much to offer. You would never be able to bar hop to all of the venues. Great food, fun times.

Bars, tattoo parlors, vape shops and boutiques. Its the hot spot for late nights in Pittsburgh. watch out for pot holes and wear comfortable shoes.

Blocks and blocks of bars, clubs, shops, and bars and clubs. Amazing selection of so many styles of nightlife. You can't not find a place you'll love, and so many interesting people.

Great place to walk around, especially when it is warm out! Lots of restaurants open their windows out onto the street. There are shops and cafes and food. Great place.

When I was growing up in Pittsburgh, South Side was the province of Ukrainian, Polish and Slavic steelworker families whose houses were passed down from one generation to the next. That all changed after the steel industry collapsed and there was no longer work in...More
