Came here on a Wednesday morning. The parking was fairly difficult. So be aware. Nice exhibits and well laid out. Kids would enjoy.

This museum is truly one-of-a-kind. Dedicated to the history of our great city, the Heinz History Center is a mammoth space that any native Pittsburgher or visitor can be mesmerized by. The Western PA Sports Hall of Fame is a must-see, too.

We didn’t have enough time to explore this wonderful museum. If you are a sports fan you’ll enjoy the Western PA Sports Museum within this Center. My favorite exhibit was the Heinz exhibit and Mister Rogers Neighborhood which led into exhibits from 90 other cultural...More

We had fun here learning about the history of Pittsburgh, they had some interactive displays and lots of displays packed full of history. I would recommend if in the area and have 4 to 5 hours to kill.

I loved the Pittsburgh history, the sports museum (even though I have no connection to Pittsburgh sports teams!), and the Prohibition exhibit. All a must see!

If you don't have a special affiliation to Pittsburgh, two hours might be enough. I spent two hours but would have spent more time if I had it. As others advised, it will depend on your level of interest.
