This is the main spot you need to visit when you're in Pittsburgh. Especially for a game! There are so many spots to visit and shop at. The whole strip is basically dedicated to the Steelers and Pirates for an upcoming game. The people in the diners and shops are extremely friendly and easy going. Everyone goes here! Stop and... "The Strip" is one of my favorite areas of the city- contrary to what some out of towners think when they see the name, its a year round market district with a great atmosphere/lots to see and do. There are street vendors for both merchandise and food, excellent seafood(Wholeys)/produce/meat/Asian markets, shops with world merchandise, multiple restaurant options at all price... More

Many places closed due to rain, and a week night. We had to go over to market sure to find happy hours and options for good food, due to weather and our location using hotel shuttles at the holiday Inn north....thanks to them for transportation within 3 miles free.

A really neat place! We started Wholeys, the grocery store with every kind of meat that you could imagine with a very friendly staff. We wandered into a chocolate store, a dried flower store, bakery and Italian food market. It was well worth the visit!
