My family and I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon walking through 1-2 miles of the conservatory's complex of buildings and gardens. The venue was buzzing with activity: guided orchid garden tours, a brass band playing in the courtyard, and butterflies fluttering in the Stove Room....More

The Phipps is a beautiful way to spend several hours amidst plants, bonsai, cactuses, orchids, butterflies, and fish. Many plants, much greenery. Right now (July 2017), there's an interesting glass exhibit interwoven into the greenery landscape throughout.

I wasn't too excited to visit. I thought the price of admission was fairly steep. But my son convinced me to visit, and I'm so glad he did! There are many different exhibits to visit, and each one is unique and beautiful.

Try one of their "splashes" ... we would the grapefruit to be very refreshing. Soups, salads, fruit, wine. Check it out.

We are members and love going to Phipps. The new glass exhibit is great. It reminds me of the Chihuly exhibit back in 2008. If you haven't been to Phipps in a while, go while this new glass exhibit is here.

You can't visit Pittsburgh without a visit to this beautiful conservatory. The displays are lovely and well-maintained. There is a lot to see, learn and experience. A definite winner.

This pace was great for everyone. We all had a good time. Many different rooms with different environments. Everything from arid land to forest. Some great features. Orchid area a favorite

If you like beautiful landscaping, unusual flowers and a great place to go "outdoors " on a rainy day, this is the place for you. The conservatory consists of different rooms each representing a different zone or habitat. Bring a camera, you will use it....More

This is a beautiful indoor space for exploring plants and flowers. When we visited last fall there were still lots of flowers outside as well. It was decorated for autumn and quite a lot of fall flowers inside. I loved the display of old Pittsburgh...More

Yes Uber or other taxi service would be best because sometimes parking is just not available. There are no parking garages in the vicinity of Phipps and as I said parking can sometimes be a nightmare around there. I don't... More
