It was efficient, very nice view , cheap, only downside was the little cretons, jumping up and down like it was a amusement park ride......

You'll get a good view of Pittsburgh from the top! Don't mind the line, it moves relatively fast. It takes up to 18 people per car. The downside to this place is the exact change rule. Have the right amount of cash with you or...More

I have been anticipating doing the incline for several years, and it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but the view at the top was exquisite. It was worth trying it once.

Very inexpensive ride but great piece of Pittsburgh history. Be sure to go inside and tour the gear house. Fantastic views of the city both day and night. Totally worth the time and effort to find this gem!

When traveling to Pittsburgh, you must experience the incline and take in the views from on top of Mt. Washington. It is beautiful!! Nighttime is best to see it all lite up.

For the sake of history, you should ride the incline. It is easy to imagine people using the incline as part of their daily commute to the plants that lined the river years ago. Those who have restored it have kept it true to its...More

The view at the top was great. We got to see Pittsburgh from the perfect elevation on the South Side. This historic mechanized wood car transports 18 people or up to 5,000 lbs. The traveling distance is about 0.25 miles. It served people living at...More

At the top of the incline are several excellent restaurants. I like the smaller ones best, because they are intimate and if without a reservation, you might be able to still have a view without a window seat.
