These are themed classrooms in the Cathedral of Learning on the Pitt Campus. Most of them are on the outside of the 1st floor but there are some more on the 3rd floor. When we were there around midday, about 1/2 of the classrooms had...More

These are so unique - if you have visited those countries, you know that the essence of the people is here. Best is that local immigrants groups planned and financed them. Thank you, Pittsburgh immigrants!

Excellent way to see various cultures decorating styles. My favorite ceiling was of the Polish Room- looks like a duplicate of one in Wawel Castle in Krakow Poland...but all of the onces we saw were really nice! I'd visit again.

Unique experience. Tour it alone or pay $4 for the audio tour. I was glad I had the audio to guide me through all of the nationality rooms. Well worth seeing.

I don't want to over hype it and see you disappointed, but it was one of my favorite places I've ever visited. I wrote a massive review of the cathedral of learning and included my review of the nationality rooms there. That said, I don't...More

This audio tour cost just $4 and was worth every penny and more. Self guided tour of the wonderful classrooms decorated in the style of different countries. A really unique experience that I dont think you'd find anywhere else in the world.

Elevator takes you to top, you can view entire Pittsburgh hills. Bottom floor kinds of dark (even with light on) but is big hall you can rest. Restroom on 1st floor.

Each room is interesting and worth inspecting. I found it quiet when I visited, so it's a good place to go and get away from the buzz of the city.

What a unique attraction. The Chinese room is just gorgeous. Some are more ornate than others, but they all have something to offer and they are worth a visit. Great way to learn a little about the nationalities that settled in the Pittsburgh area.

Yes, and use the entrance off of 5th Avenue to avoid steps. Elevators are available to use. I had a professor who used a wheelchair to teach and we used different class rooms in the building. There is public parking off... More

It is free unless you want a Cassette to take around and listen to what each room has to offer. I think it was about $4.00.
