Each room is quite small, has a lot of interesting artwork from the respective country. Nice wooden furniture and seating arrangement, to accommodate a small class. A chalk board cleverly hidden behind an artwork panel. Some of the rooms I saw were - the Turkish room, the Japanese room, the Israeli room, the Indian room. Never seen anything like it... More

Housed in the cathedral of Learning on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. The classroom represent countries from around the world and are beautifully constructed, each one unique in itself. I would recommend scheduling a tour, as some of the rooms are not accessible otherwise. The early american room has a secret upstairs that is said to be haunted!

So detailed and a great experience. Furniture and artifacts from each country. Learned a lot and very interesting. Had each room to ourselves on a Saturday morning.

I just mentioned these in my review of the Cathedral of Learning. These rooms are fascinating, decorated to reflect each nationality that sponsors the rooms. Active classrooms with history and culture. The England room is decorated with wood paneling from the parliament when it had been bombed in WWII. Go see them if you can.

The Nationality Rooms in Pitt's Cathedral of Learning are excellent examples of the unique architecture and culture of the country that they represent. The workmanship in the rooms is impressive. Two types of tours are available. Self guided audio tour for small groups or a guided group tour available for groups of ten or more. Either tour is $4 per... More

I love walking through the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh's campus. It feels like you are walking into another age. The rooms are gorgeous and unique. Don't forget your camera!

On the 1st and 3rd floors of PITT'S Tower of Learning, the Nationality Rooms are mesmerizing. Each shows a piece of art, history, folk culture, and folk art, all rolled into one beautiful room in an already awe-inspiring architectural structure. The rooms will bring you closer to each ethnicity and culture as it was years ago and as many hope... More

We had no idea the number of nationality rooms included in this building! Wandering around and exploring was fun, we had a great time leaning some new things. Only not a five star because after a 45 minute wait we were still unable to get an audio guide- just given the keys to check out the rooms ourselves... but still... More
