Went here because some other tourists recommended it. Very glad we took the (short) bus ride from downtown to Oakland to go here. The rooms are impressive and well-preserved. $4 each for a key to the locked first-floor rooms -- there are more rooms on...More

The Nationality Rooms are located within the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh. The Cathedral itself is a beautiful sight and the Nationality Rooms are a great feature. There are two options to see the Nationality Rooms- one was free and the other...More

I visited the 42-story Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh on a weekday in October and learned about these rooms when I went into the Information and Gift Center on the first floor. Thirty rooms on the first and third floors have been...More

The learning Nationality rooms are spread on two floors of the imposing Cathedral of learning tower. One you can visit for free, while the other one is paying. Having not much time, we opted only for the free one and it was quite enough. You...More

This is a true hidden treasure of Pittsburgh ! Most people don’t even know these masters of art and history exist . Take the tour, and if you have out of town visitors , this is a must to see .

A must see when visiting the beautiful city of Pittsburgh! Each room has a story. It's best to take a walking tour either with a guide or with the rented headphones and tapes. I have been several times and discover something new with each visit....More

First time seeing the nationality rooms at Christmas. Those that were decorated festively were well done. Please note that classes were in session, so some rooms were off limits. The guided tour wasn't available on the day we were there. Definitely recommend this for anyone...More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour (highly recommend) of the Nationalities Rooms. We have never seen anything quite like it that provides such an interesting but compact tour of countries/cultures. It's well worth the about two hours it takes to tour and visit the...More

We’ve toured the Nationality rooms several times with friends and our younger kids. The craftsmanship is remarkable and the rooms offer a glimpse into other cultures. A cool tour to take out of town guests on.

I highly recommend another hidden secret of Pittsburgh. For 30 years I have taken visitors to the Nationality rooms and no one was ever disappointed. I recommend contacting them about their policy on pets.

It is free unless you want a Cassette to take around and listen to what each room has to offer. I think it was about $4.00.
