The building wasn't open but the grounds were beautiful. We wish they had open hours year around. The blue pool under the stone pergola was used as a table that was filled with water and food was passed across to other members.

I love Milford and this place is a wonderful place to get lost of a sunny day. Peace and quiet among beautiful surrundings. Milford is lucky to have it.

We visited in March and the house was not opened for tours, but we were able to walk around the grounds. It was a interesting walk.on the paths were easels with descriptions and a history of the buildings and gardens. The thought behind each out building by Mrs. Pinchot was notable. It would be wonderful to go back and see... More

This was the summer home of Gifford Pinchot's family, best known to Forest Service employees as the father of forestry in America and the first chief of the Forest Service. He was also very well known for his career in the state of Pennsylvania which I learned all about while visiting this site. It's a place with great character and... More

Because it is February, the mansion itself wasn't open for tours. However, the grounds were open to walk on such on unusually warm Winter day. It was so worth getting a much needed walk in.

Not only a nice visit (and a beautiful setting) but it was nice to see how the rich lived as many nice antiques on display. Really nice legacy of service for the Pinchot family!

We were greeted with a surprise holiday concert from the local high school chamber choir. Definitely a treat. The tour guide a very knowledgeable of the Pinchot family and the home and grounds. The first floor tour was short, just a few rooms, but beautiful. Our tour was the holiday house tour so we were able to see all three... More

We went and found that the Gray Towers had closed for the season. But there was a sign saying that the grounds where open and to close the gate behind us. The grounds where fantastic. We will be going back to take the house tour next year.

The grounds are beautiful and I was itching to tour the house but there are no tours in November. What a view from the porch.
