A great place to stop and learn about Lititz' origins! Located in two original stone houses built in the 1700's, the museum houses a lot of neat local artifacts, and the Johannes Mueller House is set up in all period furniture and furnishings, just as it might have looked in the 18th century. My husband and I took Mom to... More

One of the best house museum experiences I have ever had, in large measure because my husband and I had a knowledgable, informative and accommodating guide show us around. I learned so much about the Moravians-- different aspects of their lives, work, culture, garb. Even found out where the expressions, "Don't throw out the baby with bathwater" and "Sleep tight,... A lovely museum showcasing the Moravian heritage of Lititz. The museum is free, there is a $5 fee for the Johannes Mueller House. Do experience the tour (45 min), the costumed docent was informative and delightful. The garden is lovely and a nice place to rest before you hit the town!

The docent was very informative. Her father's mementos and possessions were featured in some of the exhibits. We were very interested in the seemingly prominent place John Sutter has in Lititz, and she was able to tell us more about his story. The two grandfather clocks with intricately inlaid wooden patterns are astounding and should not be missed. This museum... More

We had the great pleasure of visiting this place before we spent the day in the town and were wowed (!!!!!) with the knowledge and unique details the guide gave us about this lovely little town. He answered our many questions and suggested several places in the town we had not heard about. Great source of history about the area!!

Quaint small town with small businesses. No Starbucks or Dunkin Dounuts here! Shops include: womens apparel, antique/vintage, a book store, kitchen gadgets, tea shops, pubs, restaurants, candy shop, cafes. People are hospitable and friendly. Good customer service. Don't forget to visit the Wilbur chocolate factory and Sturgis pretzel bakery. Nice place to visit for "girlfriends day out."

This is a great place to stop first to find out about the history of the area. We had a guide that was very knowledgeable which helped us gain insight into the timeline and history of Litiz. It was interesting and worth the stop.
