The wolf sanctuary is a good place to see and learn about wolves - the wolves are used to humans so they come close to the front of the enclosures, allowing visitors to see them well. The guides are pleasant and informed. We visited on a particularly unusual warm day for November - the wolves had their winter coats and... More

This place has a remarkable history and the people who staff it (all volunteers) are passionate about their mission. They are all immensely well-informed and provide great information about the sanctuary and each individual wolf (approx. 46 total). The setting is very informal, you can stay as long or as little as you want. This can easily be done inside... More

Recently visit the Wolf Sanctuary with our 15 yr old daughter and we all walked away in awe of what we saw and learned. Dennie and Amanda were particularly informative and represent the soul of this organization, a deep caring for wolves and wolf hybrids. The facility was well kept, the animals not only healthy but well loved with respect... More

I had heard about this sanctuary a while back and finally got there. It was extremely crowded for the public weekend tour. I understand that they've gotten a lot of social media attention and so have been having record number crowds. This is great for the sanctuary because they put the money right back in and have been updating fences... More

We visited for the first time in October--My husband, myself, my 12 year old daughter and my mother-in-law. My daughter loves wolves and has wanted to visit for a long while. I think the day we chose to visit was the coldest one of the year so far but we were still able to enjoy ourselves. We came on a... More

We've been visiting Lancaster County for 30 years and never knew that the Wolf Sanctuary existed. What a hidden gem! We took the general (vs the private) tour because we weren't so sure that we'd enjoy it, even though we read very good reviews on Tripadvisor. The next time we visit, we'll flip for the private tour ($25/person). We got... More

We visited the Wolf sanctuary on Nov 5. It was a beautiful day! The sanctuary was very crowded and they modified the tour. It ended up being a self guided tour with guides posted at each pack. The guides were very knowledgeable about the wolves and answered lots of questions. This is a must see for animal lovers! They also... More

This was great! the volunteers were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They said they have 47 wolves and we saw just over half as they don't take you to all the enclosures. The animals are gorgeous and obviously well cared for. The drive/entrance is well marked. You maybe walk 0.25 all told, the last part has a very steep hill... More

I've been to the sanctuary twice. We stayed at the B&B on the property, which was wonderful. It's a lovingly restored old family home, with high ceilings, period furniture, and charming details. As part of our stay, we got to take a tour of the wolf sanctuary. It was fascinating to learn about history of the place, and eye-opening about... More
