We planned on spending an hour or so but ended up staying the whole morning... so much information about the local area... and arranged so you can skim for an overview or delve into the details if you want to. Fabulous!
This was a great place to go on a rainy day, lots of interesting exhibits for a small town museum, and the people there were so welcoming of small children, made the visit entertaining for all, thanks!
The museum presents the history of Yamba in great detail within the excellent and well maintained displays, photographs and collections. The historical society of Yamba clearly take great pride in what is one of Australia's finest regional museums.

The Yamba Museum is well worth a visit. The displays are good and it tells visitors much about the surrounding area, including the Clarence River, which is said to be the longest river on Australia's East Coast. The Clarence enters the Pacific Ocean at Yamba....More
