We have travelled up the east Coast of Australia the past three months and this is one of our favourite beaches . Beautiful white smooth sand and clear waters , in a beautiful coastal town. A must visit when in Yamba .

Lots of thundering waves to listen to and a great stretch of powder white sand to walk along. Would be great in summer I imagine but it was a winter escape.

Difficult to find dog-friendly beaches around Yamba. Pippi Beach is one, and it's very nice. Good for all.

Pippi is a great place to go to get away from the crowds and enjoy some family time or a picnic with friends.

The patrolled section of Pippi Beach is safest for kids. There's a breakwater adjacent to the patrolled are so the well is not as big. The opposite end of Pippi beach allows dogs to run off leash.

Pleasant beach for long walks. Surf can be treacherous on occasion. A non patrolled beach except during school holidays. A leisurely stroll can be done of entire beach in one hour. Southern end is a dog(off leash) walking area.

Pippi Beach is just about perfect. The flagged swimming area at the northern end is protected from the strong northeasterly winds by a rock promontory, so the waves are gentle and just right for teenagers learning to bodysurf. The water is beautifully clear. Watch out...More
