Interesting; but our tour guide was scripted and made nothing exciting. Disappointed too that you can only see the "handprint" from the cell door. Makes you wonder about its authenticity.More

A nice piece of history in Jim Thorpe. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was nice to learn about how things used to be.

Great exhibit of a former jail, best known for the execution of four Molly Maguires in 1877 on The Day of the Rope. The jail is well-preserved and the tour is interesting and informative. A replica of the gallows in which the Molly Maguires were...More

If spending a day in Jim Thorpe it is well worth the time to visit the museum. Nice artifacts and it provides a good overview of a very interesting town

Thanks for the nice comments and we're delighted you enjoyed your tours - both the daytime history tour and the October night time ghost tours. Hope we see you in jail again this year.

Interesting if you have nothing else to do while in Jim Thorpe. Our tour guide wasn't the greatest. Looks like the Halloween Tour might be fun. Parking real close is limited.More

Sounds as if you visited the Old Jail on Sunday, the last day of our 6 month season. Sorry you weren't pleased with your guide; perhaps he/she was tired after giving the tour 6 times a day for six months. The night time Ghost Tour...More
