Interesting if you have nothing else to do while in Jim Thorpe. Our tour guide wasn't the greatest. Looks like the Halloween Tour might be fun. Parking real close is limited.More

Sounds as if you visited the Old Jail on Sunday, the last day of our 6 month season. Sorry you weren't pleased with your guide; perhaps he/she was tired after giving the tour 6 times a day for six months. The night time Ghost Tour...More

Please know that the ghost tour does not cover as much history as a regular tour. It is shortened and focused on the ghost stories. It's a good idea to read a little about the jail history first. It was less spooky than I had...More

Thanks for the nice comments on your Ghost Tour of the Old Jail. Yes, the night time Ghost Tour was stories of spirits that people actually experienced in the Jail, and the daytime History Tour concentrates on the history of the Jail and the Molly...More

On the beautiful hike up West Broadway Street toward the jail, I saw some folks coming back down the hill and asked their thoughts. Mixed reviews. They said the line was long but wasn't moving much. My wait was around 40 minutes but on such...More

Glad you enjoyed your Ghost Tour in the Old Jail. You are right in saying your time in the cell block was limited. Because a new tour of 25 people is started every 15 minutes having people from previous tours walking about and talking in...More

Thanks for the nice comments on your tour of the Old Jail. We always love to hear nice things about our young guides since they work so hard to be informed and give a great tour. Hope we see you in Jail again next year.

We decided to take a tour of the old jail. I'm glad we did. It has a lot of history, some dark, but very interesting to see how prisoners were kept, "back in the day!" It is all still as it was left when closed,...More

A little bit of a wait to go in, but I can see why. It was really interesting, and creepy too. Can't believe they used this jail until 1995. We walked up the hill from the bottom of Broad St, very relaxing walk., of course...More
