we went there for family trip, took the $80+ package. the first experience we got is feeding the pelicans, they gave us dead fish to feed the pelicans which is cool since not only the pelicans came but also the other birds, then we stopped to catch yabbies which will be used as bait for fishing, they provide us with... Oyster farm with boat tours for catching mud crabs. Didn't go for the tour but took their lunch instead. The boil mud crabs are ok but oysters are fabulous. Place is rather simple and eating area more like a shed than a proper restaurant.

This Catch a Crab tour is not a catch a crab per se. One actually haul the net that was cast overnight in the waters. Cruise started off with feeding the Pelicans with small fishes. But poor Pelicans were much slower than the seagulls and didn't get to feed as much. Next was catching the yabbies and a brave young... More

Our family of 4, 2 boys aged 5 & 2, enjoyed our time at the catch a crab tour. Spent the morning feeding pelicans, pumping for yabbies, pulling out the crab traps set the previous day, some fishing, plus an educational talk about crabs and the oysters. Finished the experience with a good seafood basket. Worth doing.

A boat filled with overseas tourists and us two Aussies made our day extremely fun. Dropped of the back of the boat for a workout with the yabby pump, watched a dolphin nearby catching fish. Fed fish, seagulls and a group of pelicans.Pulled up the set crab pots and all on board were delighted to have their photos taken with... More

I excitedly booked the activity for my husband and I very last minute while believed that we were going to be taught and practice how to catch a crab. Well, that was my assumption. Our three hours experience included a ride on the river, pumping yabbies, fed pelicans, fishing and pull out crab traps. The catch a crab activity wasn't... More

I called on the weekend to make the booking as it doesn't state their hours of operation. No menu on website as it changes. I got a lady who was not very helpful, annoyed she had to answer the phone and directed to online enquires. Called back during the week to follow up and my booking enquiry had been missed.... More

Wonderful family fun feeding fish, pumping for yabbies, finding crab pots and doing some fishing with the rods provided. All highly organised by the crew. They even had spare towels and swim shorts for some who forgot their. Interesting and relaxing. Open air ferry style boat fully shaded for comfort.

Activities laden trip. Started with feeding pelicans - maybe a dozen residents and fish are provided by crew to be thrown to these birds. Then catch a yabbie at some mudflats - not an easy task but still an experience for most of us who have never tried using a pump to extract these crabs out of their mud homes.... More
