It had been 22 years since I was last in Thredbo and I honestly didn't realise and could not remember what a lovely charming character filled little village it was. Yes we were there for winter snow, but after looking around this place is great...More

We visited with our two young children in June and while it was low season, found all the staff at Thredbo to be very friendly and helpful. There was a very friendly feel to the whole place. We loved the alpine feel. The walks that...More

Open all year round, this small town is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful national parks in Australia.

Thredbo location is beautiful, and there was a little snow remaining at the top of the mountains. Parking is extremely difficult, and it is crowded. Limited selection when it comes to food.

Thredbo village itself whilst in a beautiful setting is all about getting your cash, gets over crowded and a victim of it's own popularity when it comes to parking. It is like a small Sydney Eastern Suburbs enclave in the Australian Alps, complete with over...More

This was a summer visit to what is essentially a winter ski village. But the village itself is a delight to walk around, and the activities on offer even off season make it a very attractive option. Like any ski resort worldwide it is not...More

Thredbo is great in summer for bush walking and being outdoors. If you want shopping, don't bother! There are your basics, paper shop (good), chemist (excellent) and supermarket (small but ok range, but be wary of shop hours). Can get coffee in mornings from various...More

The village is compact, but seems to offer a good range of accommodation. In summer a number of the businesses were closed, but there was still plenty open to make it a good holiday location. It is the starting point for a number of walks...More

Are there any parking at the snow play area in Thredbo Alpine Village. Like to take my kids there and we will be based at Cooma so will be traveling there by car. Where is the best place to park and are parking limited in July?
